How one school’s STEM classroom came alive.

In 2024, the Foundation’s first major project transformed the STEM program at Gardenvale Primary School. Watch how we can make a difference…

With a $30,000 donation in Tom’s memory, Gardenvale was able to:

  • Robotics kits

    Equipped every year level with age-appropriate robots so students could code, test and iterate hands-on.

  • Science equipment

    Supplied core classroom materials to enable safe, hands-on investigations aligned to the curriculum.

  • 3D Printing

    Added a classroom 3D printer to help students turn ideas into simple prototypes and build design thinking.

  • Secure storage

    Implemented lockable, organised storage and charging so equipment stays protected and ready for lessons.

  • Classroom refit

    Installed purpose-built, height-adjustable furniture so every year level can use the space comfortably and productively.

The results were immediate.

Hundreds of Gardenvale students now have access to optimal education tools on a weekly basis, and the STEM room has become a space that encourages creativity and practical learning.
